Born from a childhood dream and a lifelong passion for the game
Since I was a child, I remember playing basketball in my room using a garbage can and a small basketball. That makeshift hoop became my arena, and those moments sparked a passion that would last a lifetime.
That same love and passion for the hobby has stayed with me as an adult. Even though I was unable to go pro, I still have the same love and passion that I did as a kid. The dream may have evolved, but the fire never dimmed.
As an adult now, it's hard with life to be able to find people to play the sports that have the same passion that I do. Work, family, responsibilities—they all make it difficult to connect with others who share that same competitive spirit and love for the game.
I found myself wondering: “Where are all the passionate players? The ones who still dream, who still compete, who still feel that rush when they step on the court?”
That's where this app was created. Local Play connects others in your neighborhood to play the games that we all love, adding in that competitive aspect that we all had as children hoping to make it to the league.
We're not just organizing games—we're rekindling that childhood passion. We're bringing back the competitive fire, the camaraderie, and the pure joy of playing the sports we love with people who get it.
Whether you're a weekend warrior, a former athlete, or someone who never lost that childhood dream, Local Play is your community. Your court. Your game.
To reconnect passionate players in every neighborhood, creating opportunities for adults to experience the same competitive joy and community spirit they had as kids—because the love for the game never truly fades.
We believe everyone deserves a chance to play, compete, and connect with others who share their passion, regardless of whether they went pro or just play for the love of the game.
Whether you're looking to relive your childhood dreams or just want to play with passionate people, we're here to help you find your game.
